Designed with both beauty and meaning in mind, the oval front opens to reveal a generously sized compartment. The original glazed panel that would have protected the contents is now absent, leaving the compartment open. CONDITION: Overall in good condition commensurate with the age of the piece. As can be seen and noted there is no glazed panel on the front.  The lid closes but not with a firm click.
