Ready to make your own stylish bags? In this six-week series, you’ll learn to sew from scratch while creating three amazing projects. Fun, hands-on, and beginner-friendly, you’ll leave each class with something you can proudly carry.
Start with the basics of sewing and machine skills, then move on to reading patterns, handling hardware, and making three bags: a simple tote, the Closet Core cross body bag and the Maywood Totepack. By the end, you’ll have a solid foundation to tackle any bag project with confidence.
Skills You’ll Learn
- Identify sewing machine parts and use them with ease
- Sew boxed corners, exterior pockets, and webbing straps
- Install zippers, snaps, and rivets
- Interface fabrics and assemble PDF patterns
- Attach hardware and leather straps
- Build confidence in handling thicker fabrics
