The American Ultra Luxe Vintage '60s Stratocaster HSS lines up a host of fine features to lay the groundwork for an outstanding musical experience. This guitar's premium alder body takes center stage in the iconic double-cutaway Stratocaster shape while working in comfortable carved contours. Meant to inspire the absolute best in comfort, these contours work alongside the body's new aged Heirloom lacquer finish treatment. This finish, relatively unseen before in Fender models, makes a splash in the American Ultra Luxe Vintage series with just the right amount of age and wear to match the guitar's timeless sensibilities.
Moving on, a quartersawn maple neck joins in with a Modern D profile, tapered neck heel, and satin lacquer finish. This neck, fashioned for precision, fits the hand comfortably alongside Fender's rosewood fingerboard and Ultra rolled fingerboard edges. Twenty-two stainless steel Medium Jumbo frets align along a speedy compound fingerboard radius that measures ten inches at the nut and flattens to fourteen near the body. Playability is crucial at every juncture for this American Ultra Luxe Vintage model.
With this model, we're treated to a new set of electronics. Under the hood, Pure Vintage '61 single-coil pickups summon all the sparkle and shimmer you've come to know and love alongside a Haymaker Humbucker in the bridge position. An S-1 switch on the guitar's Volume control allows for the Haymaker to be split, opening the single-coil spectrum even wider for players who simply can't get enough.
This American Ultra Luxe Vintage model tops off its whole experience with a number of fine hardware specifications. At the headstock, a TUSQ nut and Deluxe staggered sealed locking tuning machines appear for seamless playability at one end of the scale while an American Ultra two-point synchronized tremolo bridge with a cold rolled steel block appears at the other. Ensuring a rock-solid playing experience every time, these hardware specs are responsive and reliable. This American Ultra Luxe Vintage '60s model travels with an included Fender Deluxe hardshell case.
