A stainless steel leather burnishing awl is a multifunctional, tapered tool used to enlarge, smooth and polish (burnish) pre-punched holes in leather, particularly for hardware installation or thicker stitching. Unlike standard awls, its smooth, tapered shaft allows it to compress and burnish the inner edges of holes up to 11mm, creating a professional, slick, and durable finish that prevents fraying.
