The black painted open-book headstock is overlaid with gold silkscreen Gibson logo and "Les Paul Model" paired with a "Special" labeled truss rod cover. This model has all its original parts.

There are nicks in the finish on the side corners near the toggle switch, and down on the lower bout. there is also some paint chipping on the top back corners of the headstock. There are light dings on the front and back lower bout, as well as scratches on the pickguard from playwear.
