Travel from home with this volume sharing the marvels of Marbella authored by Nicholas Foulkes. Part of Assouline’s Classics Collection of highly collectible and immaculately illustrated volumes representing movements in style and chronicling chic. Each book is an inspiring journey to aesthetic bliss, a unique world all its own.

Marbella is a social archaeological site where generations have lived lives of sun-gilded leisure. Today the popular image of Marbella may be of a sort of European Miami, but one need only scratch this glitzy surface to be taken back to the time when Marbella was a simpler place.

During the 1950s it was a quiet, dusty, traditional village, and today the old town is still a charming warren of streets, some so narrow that you can touch the rough white walls on either side. Yet what is really striking about Marbella is how much has remained the unchanged. Historical figures long connected with the coast may have passed into history, but their presence lives on in those who come after them.

With a personal narrative text by historian and journalist Nicholas Foulkes, a longtime Marbella visitor, this colorful volume illustrates varied aspects of this picturesque port, from the mountains to the beaches, from the delightful old town to the glamorous nightlife.

Pink and purple perfection
Size: 13 Little Kid, Color: Pink/Purple, Size: 13 Little Kid, Color: Pink/Purple
Fits great and perfect colors for my (not so) little. This is her first pair of "tie" shoes so we're still learning, but the laces are a good length for teaching and practicing. She says they're very comfortable too.

My son destroys shoes, same thing happened here.
Size: 5 Big Kid, Color: Black
For some reason my son started doing the duck walk at school and while performing this little trick for his classmates he ripped the rubber that wraps over top the toe. Now, instead of being glued up and into place, its basically sagging down. Thankfully that's the only thing that's gone wrong with these and honestly this sort of wear and tear is not typical. What I would say is that if your child is rough on shoes, I would pass on these. They are very nice, very light weight and are great for school. However, due to the design, they might not best good for some kids. In terms of sizing and comfort, my son wears a 5 and these fit him very well. He has wide feet like his dad, and these don't bother him at all. He's says they're very comfortable and does enjoy wearing them.
