This Hind Pair of K2F Cryochaps Ice Wraps is ideal for cooling your horse's back legs quickly and effectively after work, or as part of the injury recovery process.

They are designed to stay cooler for longer than the Original Cryochaps, thanks to the increased amount of gel. The bottom strap is also wider for maximum compression where it is needed.

Cryochaps have been designed to assist with recovery and injury prevention as part of the after-work cool-down process, and also help with rehabilitation after injury.

They are particularly useful for cooling the legs after strenuous work, such as shows and events. They will stay at less than -15°C for up to 7 hours in the cool bag.

HOW THEY WORK

K2F Cryochaps are designed to cover most tendons and ligaments in the horse's lower leg, and bring the outside leg temperature down rapidly.

The inner smooth section is filled with non-toxic gel, that can be frozen in 24 hours. It will not freeze to the leg and is simple to wash off to keep clean.

The black stretch neoprene outer wrap provides compression and allows them to comfortably fit a range of leg sizes.

The combination of icing and compression reduces heat and inflammation in your horse's legs.

The theory behind this cold therapy is that it helps to combat the micro trauma (small tears) in tissues and resultant soreness caused by intense or repetitive exercise.

The cold therapy constricts blood vessels, flushes waste products and reduces swelling and tissue breakdown. Subsequently, as the tissue warms and increased blood flow speeds circulation, the healing process is jump-started.

HOW TO APPLY

To prepare, lay the Cryochaps flat in the freezer and freeze for at least 24 hours (they are designed to be kept in the freezer permanently).

Cryochaps are easy to apply straight from the freezer, and mould to the horse's legs to provide great coverage with optimal freedom of movement.

The wrap-around design provides a secure fit on horses of 15.2hh and above. Please follow the application instructions enclosed with the product.

Wet the leg before using the Cryochaps, and apply immediately after exercise for 10-15 minutes to benefit from the cold therapy. It is advised to seek advice from your vet before using Cryochaps post-injury. Do not place directly on open wounds. Do not use for longer than 20 minutes.

The Hind Pair of K2F Cryochaps are available in one size, that is designed to fit horses of 15.2hh and over.
