Powered by the sun and connected by Raymarine's wireless Micronet technology the Vertical Wind Transmitter Sensor accurately measures apparent wind speed and direction. Designed for high-performance racing boats the extended vertical height of the wind transmitter gets the wind speed and direction sensors further away from the upwash of the boat's mainsail enhancing accuracy and response.
The Vertical Wind Transmitter can be interfaced wirelessly with other Micronet compatible instruments and sensors or to a wired SeaTalkng network using an optional MicroTalk wireless gateway.
