Transport yourself back to 1937 with the Martin D-18 Authentic 1937 VTS Aged, a guitar that perfectly captures the magic of that era. Crafted with hide glue construction and historically accurate detailing, this guitar is a replication of the 1937 D-18 that stays true to its original design. The genuine mahogany back and sides and Adirondack spruce top provide a vintage aesthetic and a sound that is unmatched by modern instruments.

The Vintage Tone System® (VTS) adds an extra touch of authenticity to this guitar by aging the wood to replicate the sound of a vintage Martin. Martin's craftspeople have meticulously crafted this guitar with an Authentic circa 1937 bracing pattern, which enhances the sound by improving resonance and tonality. The VTS aging process is so accurate that it can reproduce the particular tones previously reserved for vintage instruments.

Martin has reintroduced a more accurate body profile based on dreadnought shapes from the early Golden Era of Martin's history. The Authentic D-14 fret body shape provides a tactile and visual experience that is unparalleled in the modern era. The Abalone Old Style 18 fingerboard inlay adds a touch of elegance to the guitar's vintage appearance.

The guitar is equipped with an Authentic Belly bridge that features glue in long saddle - aged, which provides the guitar with the perfect intonation and a classic sound. The Madagascar Rosewood headplate and Authentic Style CFM Script Overlay add to the vintage appearance of the guitar. The solid headstock with a 1937 Taper and an aged Tortoise Pattern pickguard are additional features that enhance the guitar's aesthetics.

The Martin D-18 Authentic 1937 VTS Aged is fitted with a dovetail neck joint with hide glue construction, which further enhances the guitar's sound by improving the transfer of vibrations from the neck to the body. The guitar comes equipped with Authentic Acoustic Lifespan 2.0 - Medium MA550T 13-56 strings that complement the vintage sound of the guitar. The Vintage Gloss finish of the guitar perfectly complements its aged appearance.

In summary, the Martin D-18 Authentic 1937 VTS Aged is a masterful replication of the 1937 D-18 that stays true to its original design while incorporating modern techniques to improve its sound and aesthetics. The result is a fully immersive experience that will transport you back to the 1930s, from the rich and complex tones to the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail in every aspect of the guitar's construction.

Exactly what I wanted!
It is really exactly what I was looking for. I've been living with my jewelry in ziplock bags since we moved over here and everything fits perfect. I saw some reviews that claimed it was unstable but I tested it and it seems sturdy though I'm not hanging heavy pieces. It is a nice size and I love the little ring basket. It also feels pretty decent quality too. Glad I got the black one as I'm not sure where I have it that the copper/bronze would look right. I think it is elegant, practical and I wish I could post a photo with my pieces on it to show that it really holds things beautifully.

Looks great by my bed!
Even my boyfriend keeps commenting how much he likes it. It's a usable piece of art! I will comment that the earring holes can be a little tricky since the leaves are turned all different ways. You have to be strategic with how you line up your long/dangle-y earrings with your studs so everybody fits and can be seen. A little tricky. But not a deal breaker - especially when it's so easy on the eye. The other slight negative is that this really isn't the best necklace holder. I would have thought, "No problem!" But it's a bit awkward. Especially if you actually intend to see all your earrings. You'll end up hanging most of your necklaces from the top most branch - but they slide down into the crevice to stay. Then you've got a lot of overlapping. And trickiness to retrieve the exact necklace you want with ease. However, this is still a fabulous earring tree. I can't say enough good things about it. Love the little basket for miscellaneous. Hair bands, lip gloss, etc.

Beautiful jewelry display
Color: Bronze-Tone
A few rough edges, but all in all well made and attractive. Holds lots of earrings and I can drape my necklaces on the tree. There's a nice bowl for bracelets and a nice tray that forms the base.

Gorgeous
Color: Bronze-Tone
It really is pretty to look at. To be honest arranging the earring on the tree is a bit of a pain, because the leaves tilt in different directions, and you have to play with it a bit to get the earrings to hang the way you would like them, but once you figure it out, they look very nice. I just adore it because it looks so pretty. I use the basket on the side for rings and watches, and the little plate in the base for a few miscellaneous pieces like necklaces or bracelets for balance and because they look nice. You'll love it.

gorgeous, and worth the purchase.
Color: Bronze
I wasn't sure about purchasing the jewelry stand at first (I had my doubts), but those doubts quickly disappeared upon the arrival/unpackaging of the jewelry stand. SHIPPING/PACKAGING It was nicely packaged, and not bent or damaged when I recieved it. The stand was a little wobbly (due to careless measuring of the copper balls, the fault of the manufacturer) THE PRODUCT The pictures are not how it is. Remember that. I thought the tree would be more three dimensional, you know- like a real tree. It wasn't, though. It was like someone took a 2D copper tree and made it stand up. It's still pretty, though, and holds a lot of jewelry. PRICE-WISE If you're looking at the price and it says $45 or more, don't buy it. I waited a month for the price to go down (I'm just a cheapskate) and it did. It went from $45 or so, down to $25 or so. So, unless its life or death, be patient and buy it when the price is right. OVERALL? In general, I was pleased with the product. It wasn't my dream jewelry stand, but it was worth my money and the wait.
