OORSPRONG Ron Don Papa ontleent zijn naam aan het verhaal van Dionisio Magbuelas, een van de helden van de Filipijnse revolutie. Bij de inheemse bevolking staat hij bekend als Papa Isio: sjamaan, genezer, rebel, ziener… Het merk werd in 2011 gecreëerd en in 2012 voor het eerst op de markt gebracht.

SMAAK EN AROMA Over de productie is weinig bekend. De gewone Don Papa zou rum van zeven jaar oud bevatten, terwijl de in 2015 gelanceerde Don Papa 10 Years blends bevat die ouder zijn dan tien jaar. Onafhankelijke tests hebben echter een hoog gehalte toegevoegde vanille en glycerol aangetoond, waardoor de rum veel ouder lijkt dan hij eigenlijk is. In de Don Papa 10Y is geen vanille teruggevonden, maar wel een abnormaal hoog gehalte glycerol.

The width of this item is such that it CANNOT be attached to the wall studs. That is unsafe for something that is intended to hold heavy items like liquor bottles. THEN the anchors that come with it are flimsy so we used a heavier different style anchor (threaded). That said, I like the way it looks, and the light effects.
