De roots van deze exceptionele wijn gaan diep. Het begon allemaal in de jaren ’20 toen Mario Mergè zijn passie voor wijn en olijfolie ontdekte. Zijn zoon, Armando, erfde deze passie en gaf het door aan Felice Mergè, de derde generatie wijnmeester. In 1996 stichtte Felice het vermaarde wijnhuis Poggio Le Volpi. Hun filosofie? Wijnen creëren die de ziel van Lazio belichamen - een mix van rijke bodems en generaties wijnkennis. Respect voor het land en meesterschap in wijnbereiding zijn de hoekstenen van hun ethos. Elke druif is met liefde en zorg geplukt door Felice om ervoor te zorgen dat alleen het beste in de fles van Baccarossa terechtkomt. Een jaar rijping in eiken vaten geeft de wijn zijn rijke complexiteit. Maar daar stopt het niet. Na het vat volgt een fleslagering van minimaal vier maanden in de koele kelders van Poggio Le Volpi. Bij het openen komt een verleidelijk bouquet je tegemoet: zwarte vruchten, jam, drop, chocolade, koffie, vanille, en een subtiele houttoets. De smaak? Great for dementia patients
I ordered this for my 94 year old mother with dementia to “feed” her stuffed cat. She was trying to feed her cat real food because “he’s hungry”, so this was a great solution. Her cat didn’t starve and mother was happy.

Still Going Strong Months Later

These stuffed chew bones have been amazing for my dogs. Even months later, they’re still happily chewing on them, and that says a lot since they’re aggressive chewers. The bacon and cheese filling keeps them interested, and the bones themselves are durable enough to handle their chewing without falling apart.
After all this time, the chews are still holding up and my dogs love them every time. They keep my dogs busy, help with dental care, and are definitely worth having on hand for large dogs who love to chew. Durable, tasty, and long-lasting—can’t ask for more.
