De Yucca is een populaire kamerplant die bekend staat om zijn robuuste karakter en aantrekkelijke, zwaardvormige bladeren. Yucca's, ook wel Palmlelie genoemd zijn sterke planten die relatief weinig eisen stellen.

Yucca's houden van helder, indirect licht. Ze kunnen echter ook overleven in lage lichtomstandigheden, hoewel hun groei dan mogelijk vertraagt. Plaats ze bij voorkeur in een ruimte met veel natuurlijk licht.

Yucca's gedijen goed bij kamertemperatuur tussen 15-25 °C. Ze kunnen temperaturen onder de 10 °C overleven, maar vermijd langdurige blootstelling aan koude tocht.

Laat de bovenste laag van de grond opdrogen voordat je opnieuw water geeft. Yucca's zijn gevoelig voor overbewatering, dus zorg ervoor dat de pot drainagegaten heeft en verwijder eventueel overtollig water uit de ondertrek.

Plaats de Yucca op een locatie met voldoende ruimte, omdat ze soms vrij groot kunnen worden. Vermijd plaatsing in de buurt van verwarmings- of airconditioningopeningen.
