De Omega-3 index meet het percentage omega-3-vetzuren eicosapentaeen- en docosahexaeenzuur in het totale vetzuurgehalte in het bloed. Tot de essentiële cardio-protectieve eigenschappen van omega-3 vetzuren behoort de daling van de triglyceridenspiegel en eveneens een toename van HDL-cholesterol-waarden. Omega-3-vetzuren verlagen de bloeddruk verwijden de kleine bloedvaten belemmeren de samenklontering van trombocyten en verbeteren de vloeibaarheid van het bloed. Bovendien is aangetoond dat ze een stabiliserend effect hebben op plaques in de halsslagader. De belangrijkste cardio-protectieve eigenschap van omega-3 vetzuren is de anti-aritmische werking.

They always enjoy pulling it out and now I can refer back to the characters to remind them of their manners in a more positive way.
