Met de kaasmaker kunt u gemakkelijk kefirkaas of andere soorten kaas bereiden. Door het unieke ontwerp kunt u de gecultiveerde melkkefir gemakkelijk en snel van de wei scheiden. De wei gaat door het gaas en blijft achter in de glazen pot en in het gaas krijgt u verse romige kaas.
Kefir-roomkaas heeft alle kenmerken van roomkaas met de extra voordelen van levende culturen die het resultaat zijn van fermentatie. DIY bereiding van gefermenteerde kaas is de beste manier om ervoor te zorgen dat je elke dag verse kaas op je menu hebt staan.
Om kefirkaas te bereiden heb je kefir en benodigdheden nodig. U kunt een Kefirko Cheese Maker gebruiken - een keukenhulpmiddel dat is ontworpen om zelfgemaakte kefirkaas te bereiden. Het bevat een gaasmandje waarin de kefir wordt gezeefd. We hebben het ontworpen om langzaam te zeven, zodat de vaste stoffen in het mandje blijven, ook al loopt de wei eruit. Het gaasmandje is bevestigd aan een glazen pot die het mogelijk maakt de wei - de vloeistof die eruit loopt - te bewaren.
Welke soorten kaas kunt u maken
Met de Kefirko Cheese Maker kun je verschillende kazen maken. Het keukenhulpmiddel is ontworpen om kefirkaas te bereiden, maar je kunt er vele andere kazen mee bereiden. Het is gemakkelijk om kwark, mozzarella, mascarpone, ricotta en andere kazen te bereiden met behulp van dit innovatieve hulpmiddel.
U kunt 100-200g kefirkaas bereiden in een klein potje met 600ml melkkefir en 200-400g kaas in een groot potje met 1000ml melkkefir.
Gebruik
Hoe werkt de kaasmaker STAP 1 Giet de kefir in het gaasmandje van de Kefirko Cheese Maker. U kunt er ongeveer 0,6 l kefir in gieten. Dek af met het deksel - niet goed vastzetten, zodat de lucht kan stromen - om te voorkomen dat er kleine stukjes en vliegjes in de kefirkaas vallen. STAP 2 Zet de Kefirko Cheese Maker in de koelkast om verdere gisting te voorkomen/vertragen. Laat het de juiste tijd staan om het te zeven en de gewenste dikte van de kaas te krijgen. Tijdens het zeven kan het gebeuren dat er wat kaas aan de rand van de ring opdroogt die je gemakkelijk met de lepel kunt schoonmaken. STAP 3 Haal de Kefirko Cheese Maker uit de koelkast en open het bovendeksel. (U kunt de persveer op dit punt gebruiken om hardere kaas te maken.) Schroef de ring los en neem deze samen met het gaasmandje af. Gebruik het bovendeksel als bakje voor het gaasmandje en laat de ring zakken. Neem het gaasmandje en draai het over het bord om de kaas eruit te halen. STAP 4 De kaas is nu klaar voor consumptie of voor gebruik in de recepten. Breng uw kaas op smaak door droog of vers fruit, noten, kruiden of specerijen naar keuze toe te voegen. Kies de ingrediënten en bereid verse kaas zoals u het lekker vindt. Hoelang duurt het om te maken? Als je zelf kefirkaas maakt, moet je eerst de kefir maken. Het duurt 12-24 uur voordat de kefir gefermenteerd is. Daarna zeef je de kefir, die je rechtstreeks in de Kefirko Cheese Maker kunt zeven. Het hangt er ook vanaf wat voor soort consistentie je zoekt in je kefirkaas. Hoe langer de kefir wordt gezeefd, hoe droger en dikker de kaas is. Hier zijn de schattingen voor de tijd van het zeven. Merk op dat de consistentie van je kaas ook afhangt van de individuele ingrediënten en de temperatuur. Tijd van uitlekken Enkele uren voor een dikkere kefir die gebruikt kan worden voor dipsauzen. Overnachting voor romige kaas. 1-2 dagen voor half harde kaas. Om half harde kaas te krijgen kunt u ook de persveer met schijf gebruiken, zodat alle wei eruit komt. Wij raden aan kefirkaas te maken in een koele ruimte of in de koelkast om verdere gisting van de kefir te stoppen/vertragen. Als u daarentegen een meer zure/gefermenteerde smaak van de kaas prefereert, kunt u de kaas op kamertemperatuur laten uitlekken.

📖 I have always been a why choose lover and this is def going to be a new fav series, I can tell already! I absolutely LOVE Abby’s writing! Joey is such a great FMC — she is strong, but has a past that has pain, making her a complex and layered character with some mystery. The guys are amazing as well — they are all different and react in such varying ways to Joey showing up on the scene! If you are going in expecting a full on dark romance with kidnapping vibes, this is not it. This is definitely a romance with darker themes, but these guys treat their girl well, though they may be misguided at times (cough, Decker, cough 🤣). One of my absolute fav things about this book is the incredible representation — two of the guys deal with chronic pain (RA + lupus), another is on the spectrum, and Joey has anxiety that can lead to panic attacks and more severe issues. As someone who deals with chronic pain (an autoimmune arthritis in the RA family) I love to see characters like me in books! I have no doubt by the end of the series I am going to love all the guys equally, but right now I am falling HARD for Kylian (who doesn’t love stats daddy?!) and Locke is firmly in second place. Decker and Kendrick have some work to do, but I’m sure this is all according to Abby’s master plan. And wowwww that cliffy was a painful one! I’ll be starting book 2 in T-minus 3 seconds!
🎧 This audio was phenomenal! All three narrators did an incredible job — the casting was absolutely on point!! June deBorahae narrated the majority of the book as most is from Joey’s POV and she was magnificent. Her transition from narrator internal voice to dialogue was always very clear, as were her transitions in dialogue between all characters which was an impressive feat with the number of characters she had going on. She truly blew me away as Joey though. The emotion she showed was incredible — going from tough and ready to go head to head with anyone, to exceedingly compassionate and kind, to anxious and sucked into memories of the past.
Vincent Skye voiced Decker, Locke, and Kylian and did a great job with all of them. Each was voiced in a way that was fitting for their character and personality. I especially love the way he portrayed Kylian.
And last but not least, Ace Bentley narrated the part of Kendrick to perfection. His portrayal was so fitting for his tough and grumpy ways. While Kendrick only had one POV chapter in this book, Abby tells me we can expect more from Ace as Kendrick in the next one!!

This is my first book written by Abby Millsaps and she completely blew me away. It is always great to check out new authors and even greater when they leave a huge impression on you, and that is exactly what Ms. Millsaps did. “Too Safe” is an amazing start to the “Boys of Lake Chapel” series, a steamy ‘why choose’ reverse harem sports romance and wow, that ending sure leaves you wanting more, no make that, needing more. Josephine “Joey” Meyer is turning things around for herself, starting over in a new town and college, Lake Chapel University, with a full ride scholarship. When she arrives at the school, four men greeted her, and the first words one of them says is “she is a girl”. Turns out, they were expecting the recipient of the Crusade Scholarship to be a male, and that would not be the last she sees of those four guys, Decker “Cap” Crusade, Kylian, Kendrick Taylor and Nicholas “Locke” Lockwood. Decker, Locke and Kendrick are star football players for their school’s team, and Killian, a geek, runs the stats for the team. Each one of these characters is as intriguing as the next, and we are just getting to know them and there is more to come. There is a lot of mystery behind Joey’s past, and there is a lot more to learn about each of the guys. Joey clicked with Locke, but a misunderstanding puts her in the hot seat with the guys, who vote on what to do with her and that is why she wound up living in to their elaborate home, the home of the popular boy where everyone flocks to for their massive parties. I loved how everything played out in this book, the writing, plot and world building are absolutely fantastic, as are the character growth and development. There is never a dull moment, drama is non-stop and there is some angst, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance reverse harem style. Abby Millsaps, thank you for this amazing story and the wild ride.
🎧📚🎧 June deBorahae, Vincent Sky, and Ace Bentley were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life and do so with a complete understanding of who they are portraying, giving each a voice that is fitting. I loved how they took their roles and owned them, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration elevates this already amazing story to another level. Thank you for this fantastic listen.

great start to a series

This was my first read from this author, and I am intrigued to continue the series!
This is a college, why choose, between 4 football guys and the new girl in town. The FMC, Joey, is accused of seeing something she shouldn’t and is forced to move in with the guys in their isle until the end of football season.
Joey is a girl who’s had a shit hand in life, but has continued to persevere. She deals with silent demons but doesn’t let them take control of her life. She has spunk and doesn’t cower.
Kylian is the BEST. Hands down my favorite! He’s our blunt, neurodivergent cinnamon roll.
Locke is a close second, he’s all about Joey from the moment they meet.
Decker - now he’ll grow on you, I’m curious to see how he expands in book 2.
Kendrick- not a fan lol. But there’s always a least favorite in these stories.
This is a slow burn, but to be expected when there are multiple MMC to contend with.
This story had good flow, and really grabbed my attention. I read in one sitting. I plan to continue the series!
