Niet zomaar een Merlot wijntje, maar juist één met veel kracht en verfijning, deze Fleur du Cap Merlot. Er is zeer veel zorg gepleegd aan deze wijn, hand geplukte druiven en een hout lagering van veertien maanden op nieuw en oud Frans en Amerikaans eikenhout. U kunt zich wel voorstellen dat dit erg bijzonder is, het nieuwe hout zorgt voor veel diepgang en structuur.De Merlot wijngaarden van Fleur du Cap
De Merlot druiven zijn afkomstig van wijngaarden in de gebieden Stellenbosch en Somerset West. De wijngaarden werden geplant in 1992, 1999 en 2000, op een hoogte variërend van 150 tot 250 meter boven zeeniveau en produceerden opbrengsten van 8-9 ton / ha. Tegen het einde van het groeiseizoen vond extra irrigatie plaats. De wijnstokken werden getraliseerd volgens het 5-draads hegsysteem, waarbij de bladeren vroeg in de boszones werden gebroken om de bossen bloot te stellen aan direct zonlicht. De druiven worden half februari geplukt bij 23 tot 24 graden. In de kelder worden de druiven zorgvuldig ontstemd, geplet en geënt met een geselecteerde gist. Om fruitsmaken te behouden, wordt de fermentatietemperatuur geregeld op 25 graden. Kleur- en tannine-extractie wordt uitgevoerd door overpompen en dagelijks geëvalueerd om de opname van ruwe tannines te voorkomen. Na de gisting wordt de wijn afgetapt en de schillen geperst zonder de harde persing. Malolactische fermentatie vindt van nature plaats. De wijn rijpt tot slot twaalf maanden met een combinatie van Frans en Amerikaans eiken.Hoe geuren en smaak van Fleur du Cap Essence Merlot
De Fleur du Cap Merlot uit de Essence du Cap serie vertoont een robijnrood in het glas. In de neus ruikt de wijn heerlijk naar pure chocolade, Amarena-kersen en overrijpe pruimen. De aroma's gaan vergezeld van een ietwat elegante houtsmaak. De Essence du Cap Merlot is fluweelzacht in de mond en mooi uitgebalanceerd. Op de voorgrond vallen de aroma's van puur, zacht fruit op, die worden omlijst door een vleugje zoete eik. Deze smaakindruk blijft permanent op de tong. Very good product
These melatonin pills work. I bought them because sometimes I'm so stressed or pressured by everyday life that I find it hard to fall asleep. I don't use them every day, only when I really can't sleep and it's very late. I must say that this pill doesn't knock you out completely. I liked that. You fall asleep slowly, and the next day you don't feel groggy or like you've had too much to drink. It's a great product!

Very Broad Overview. A Little Disorderly
Format: Paperback
I liked the book. It's a very broad overview of the major time periods of Ancient Greece, concluding w/ Rome's conquest. It feels too short to convey all the information in a really meaningful fashion and sometimes the order the information is presented in seems a little disjointed. All in all, I felt like it was a good read and would recommend it to others seeking an introduction into the basic outline of the timeline and introduction to many of the major players.
