The Fuzz from Jackson Audio takes faithful recreations of historic fuzz circuits and brings them together in one modular pedal that allows you to create classic fuzz sounds as well as new fuzz sounds that are impossible with these original circuits! Because all fuzz pedals are different and all of them bring something unique sonically, with the Fuzz you can update your fuzz sound completely with analog plug-ins and turn your pedal into a whole new pedal with a simple and affordable plug-in swap. EQ and especially the mids, are where the guitar makes its stand. Not enough mids and your guitar is lost in the mix. Too much highs and your tone is piercing and off-putting. Too much bass and you compete sonically with the bass drum and bass player. With the parametric EQ on the Fuzz, you have a fully parametric 3-band EQ with 9 controls at your disposal to sculpt your tone and make sure you are never lost in the mix! Each of the Bass, Mid, and Treble controls can be adjusted at +/-20dB and there are 2 extra (and mostly internal) trimmers for each band to select its frequency and Q. The octave circuit in the Fuzz is the perfect marriage of vintage and modern thanks to its unique octave Blend control which allows to mix your clean signal with the fuzz/octave signal and dial in precisely how much octave effect you want. When fully counterclockwise, the octave circuit acts as a boost and is perfect for slamming the front of the fuzz circuit and get more gain, or for boosting the front of other pedals, or just running as an always-on signal buffer/booster. When fully clockwise, there is no clean blend so your signal is fully fuzzed out with however much fuzz/octave you have dialed in with the Oct control. The Fuzz comes stock with 2 analog plug-ins: "¢ Modern Fuzz (installed): from vintage-style fuzz at lower settings to snarling spitting fuzz at higher settings, the Modern Fuzz plug-in does it all and cleans up beautifully when your guitars volume control is lowered. "¢ Fuzz Classic/Vintage: the classic Fuzz with the smiley face! This plug-in has lower gain and a looser/softer feel. This plug-in is perfect for the earlier Jimi era tones. Jackson Audio is also releasing 4 more analog plug-ins for the Fuzz: Modern Fuzz Deluxe (2 types of clipping), Fuzz Classic/Modern (high-gain Fuzz Face style), Fuzz Page Mark II (Led Zeppelin style), Goat Head (Ram's Head Big Muff style).Shipping Notes

Like the other one (Vol 1) but different (Vol 2) with more.
Format: Paperback
Volume 2 continues the great color combinations of the 1st Volume, but the combinations are more complex, with more colors. There's even a section of art in the form of paintings, prints, woven work, etc. that you see on one page while on the opposite page is the breakdown of the colorations in bars with no image. What this does is show how the art works, and then how the combinations also work. Also more of the simplified 2 and 3 combinations that I think I prefer as more minimal. Again, these are ranged from light and airy to darkly saturated -and all curiously satisfying and worth study and trying them out. On the computer it's possible to match any tone or hue, so there's a path that only requires finding the right starting color then paying attention to the combination. Not that it's an end-all, but a beginning. Any of those can be shifted or modified with ease but it depends on how they fit a real-time application and not a formula. But the horizons have already been expanded so there's more, and even more.

Great book to help establish a palette for a software, web or art project
Format: Paperback
I love this book for helping me establish a color palette for art projects that I want a Japanese feel to. Also just generally good for getting inspiration for color palettes that just plain look good. I've always, since I can remember from my youth, felt drawn to the Japanese color combinations in kimono. fashion, origami paper and even toys. Maybe it's a consequence of growing up in Hawaii with all the Japanese influences I had -- or, as I suspect, it's just really good color application. This book helps me find the colors I want that go together the way I want. I use the examples in this book with a Color Muse to pick my digital color palette.

Terrific content, soft cover.
Format: Paperback
It is way smaller than expected but it is amazing in content. The only think I do not like is that it has an extremely soft external cover, which worries me on the long run.
