At its centre lies a glazed compartment, once intended to hold a lock of hair or a treasured memento. This focal point speaks to the era’s desire to keep loved ones close, even in absence. The panel is now worn so we can only guess what lies beneath the locket!

Encircling the compartment is a striking halo of almandine garnets, their deep, wine red tones glowing warmly against the gold. The ring is created in 9 carat gold giving it s rich warm tone Ion the hand. 

To the reverse, the ring carries a personal engraving: “HIP” ~ A  set of initials full of mystery. A lasting trace of the individual or loved one connected to this piece, preserved across more than two centuries.
