Factory Records was the label responsible for much of the post-punk era in Manchester during the 1980s and played a pivotal role in the success of bands like Joy Division and Happy Mondays.

In 1981, Factory, in collaboration with New Order (previously known as Joy Division), began preparations to transform a Victorian textile factory into a nightclub. The entire interior was designed by Ben Kelly, one of the UK’s foremost interior designers of that era. The decision to enlist Kelly came from Peter Saville, the graphic designer at Factory Records and a collaborator with Raf for his AW03 collection.

The Haçienda (FAC 51) opened its doors in May 1982, playing a seminal role in the evolution of the acid house and rave scenes of the late 1980s. Despite its overwhelming popularity and high attendance, the club faced financial issues. A significant factor was the club-goers' fondness for Ecstasy, which drastically reduced traditional alcohol sales.

Due to some bad business decisions and financial problems that I won’t get into, factory was forced to declare bankruptcy in November 1992, marking the end of a legendary journey that shaped the music of the 80’s and 90’s.

Fewer stickers please!
Format: Paperback
Like New book was exactly that for the insides. Unfortunately there were many USED stickers on the cover. A hair dryer and alcohol swab got most of it but my cover still is “sticky”.

A life-changing book!
Format: Kindle
A life-changing look at the future of the church. Radical way to look toat Christian nationalism as a way to counteract the comfort in which our faith is marginalized and made a mascot or patron of what the forces of vain triumphalism put forth instead of the Beatitudes .
