Description

Redmond Real Salt - Kosher - 454gThe reason kosher is a chef favorite and awesome for seasoning meat (along with other dishes) is its larger, coarser grain size. These bigger, more textured grains make it easier to pinch and toss on food (its fun try it some time!) But koshers more robust grain size also means it can be more challenging to chew. So we always recommend that you chew your kosher with a dash of caution. Get to know Real Salt Millions of years before humans began

Get to know Real Salt

Millions of years before humans began polluting our planet, an ancient ocean covered what is now the Western United States. As the earth shifted and ocean waters retreated beneath the surface, the Real Salt deposit was formed into a massive, underground mountain of crystalized salt protected from erosion by a layer of volcanic ash.
We bring Real Salt to you exactly as nature created it: nothing added, nothing taken away. Real Salt is preferred by chefs for its delicious, subtle flavor and recommended by experts because of the unrefined minerals.

Every bite tastes better

Have you ever wished for a secret ingredient that would make every dish you prepare taste its very best? Compared to typical sea salt, Real Salt has a much smoother flavor profile – a subtle, salty sweetness that naturally enhances the flavor of every bite. Real Salt doesn’t make your food taste like salt, it enhances the flavors you already have.

Recommended by doctors and fitness professionals

"For decades we were told by our doctors we should fear salt – and maybe, if your doctor still insists on using processed “sea salt” that is nothing but sodium chloride, we should still be afraid." - Dr. Ken Berry

"Real Salt is the only Keto salt you’ll need because it’s naturally packed with essential trace minerals, and it makes your food better." - Drew Manning, Fit2Fat2Fit

"I like this salt!" - Dr Shawn Baker

"When I started my health journey I was surprised to realize how important salt can be, and that the quality of the salt we eat really makes a difference. We tried Real Salt because we love that it’s mined right here in the USA, and it is the real deal! The salt is great and the people we’ve met from Redmond are obsessed with quality and determined to give back to their communities. I would never have expected to love a salt company, but Redmond Real Salt really is one of our favorite healthy finds!"." - Dr. Ken Berry

“I’m a big fan of Redmond Real Salt because it is a true ancient sea salt that’s mined from Utah in the United States that has a full plethora of minerals that we need... The reality is I know the science and I know how important salt is when it comes to making sure I stay lean and stay in shape, especially when I’m on a low carb diet or when I’m intermittent fasting.”  - Thomas DeLauer

"On the ketogenic diet a lot of people actually become dehydrated because your body expels a lot of water initially. Expelling the water expels a lot of minerals. So, you need to replenish sodium, potassium, and magnesium. Which is why I’m such a huge fan of Real Salt. Real Salt is unrefined, there’s nothing added to it, there’s nothing taken from it. All of the trace minerals are still intact, so you get the potassium and the magnesium and the sodium that your body needs.” - Drew Manning

"I USE REAL SALT FROM Real Salt" - Dr Robert Cywes

Good book
Format: Paperback
Still working through it but I have no complaints. I have a shelf of no starch books and have not been disappointed by any. Some, of course, are better than others but this is a good book.

Ok content, not great explanations (2.5 our of 5 stars)
Format: Paperback
I found the contents of this book to be simply ok: either too simple, or the more complicated algorithms and concepts would not be as carefully explained as they should have been. It is not a terrible book, but it feels as though the author did not go over many drafts/iterations of this work.

An Excellent Self-Discovery Approach to Learning Algorithms
Format: Paperback
I have an Ivy League Master's Degree in Computer Science although it was accomplished 35 years ago. Of course, I had to complete an ACM-type course in Algorithms and Data Structures on the undergraduate and graduate level and managed to by rote accomplish enough to satisfy these courses. But until seeing this great book I never had the feeling of gaining an understanding of the approach to learning and building algorithms and the extent to which it is an important component of all programs. By a journey of guided self-discovery the author shows, not only the necessity of algorithms and their canonical forms, but a path to understanding the construction of algorithms to accomplish common and not so common practical problems. These range from the simple to understand, e.g. implementing Russian Peasant Multiplication, to advanced and up to date topics like Machine Learning. The highest praise I can give this book is that as a journey of guided self-discovery it produces an understanding in the reader of the process of constructing and understanding these algorithms and their place in all programming.

Easy to understand, makes algorithms exciting again!
Format: Kindle
Dive Into Algorithms speaks to me directly as a very intrepid beginner myself. I was given another "learn Python" book several years ago and it languishes on a shelf undisturbed to this day. Dive Into Algorithms had me hooked by the first parfait recipe. Mr. Tuckfield explains concepts in such a way that any student can learn something. The history, physics, cooking, and math lessons teach us that algorithms are everywhere, and they're not big scary 'big data' monsters out to ruin us. Instead, they're tools to help understand the world around us. This book has made me excited about programming again. Thank you.
