The Samyang 35mm F1.4 UMC II Canon EF Full Frame Camera Lens is a fast, wide angle, manual focus prime lens for full frame cameras and also for APS-C sensors. It is a professional prime lens which delivers exceptional resolution and sharpness with outstanding optical construction.
The Samyang 35mm F1.4 AS UMC lens was designed to suit SLR and DSLR cameras. On a full frame camera the 35mm focal length has universal applications. It is a bright and fast wide-angle lens perfect for landscape, journalism and everyday scenarios.
The wide apertures of the 35mm provide beautiful bokeh, which is perfect for portrait type applications where ultra smooth out of focus backgrounds or foregrounds is preferred. This technique helps to separate the subject from the background giving very pleasing and professional results. Aided by its 8 aperture bladed design, the smoothness of the bokeh provided by the Samyang 35mm is excellent.
The optical design of the Samyang 35mm F1.4 UMC lens is 12 elements arranged in 10 groups and includes 2 high refractive lens (HR). The inclusion of an glass aspherical lens (ASP) minimises colour aberration, and Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) provides high contrast and trustworthy colour reproduction. It is designed according to floating system to preserve high image quality and resolution within close focusing distance.
This lens is supplied with front and rear lens caps, petal-type lens hood (which is reversible for transporting) and a soft lens pouch.
