How to Install Epson LX-350

Installing the Epson LX-350 is a straightforward process designed to get you printing quickly. Start by selecting a stable workspace with adequate ventilation and a clean, level surface for the printer. Remove the protective packaging and inspect the device for any transit-related accessories or ribbons that may be included with your bundle. If you’re replacing an older printer, confirm that your computer or POS terminal has available USB ports or a parallel connection, depending on your setup.

Connect the printer using the appropriate cable(s). If you are using USB, plug the cable into the USB port on your computer and the corresponding USB outlet on the LX-350. If you use a parallel connection, connect the IEEE 1284 cable between the printer and the host device. After securing the cables, power on the LX-350 and wait for it to initialize. A successful initialization typically involves indicator lights showing normal status and the printer ready to receive data.

Install the printer driver next. If your package includes a driver CD, insert it into your computer and follow the on-screen instructions. For modern systems where a CD drive may not be available, visit Epson’s official support site or your device’s operating system update center to download the latest LX-350 driver. Select the appropriate operating system version, download the driver package, and run the installer. During installation, choose the LX-350 as your default printer, or add it as a secondary device if you need to print from multiple applications or users.

Configure printer settings to suit your specific tasks. In your operating system’s printer settings, you can adjust paper size (commonly A4 or Letter for forms), margins, line spacing, and print density. If you rely on multi-part forms, ensure the correct line feed and form-feed options are enabled to maintain alignment across copies. For point-of-sale use, you may want to designate a dedicated print port or specific printer profile to streamline transaction receipts and reports. Run a test page to verify that text, alignment, and line spacing meet your requirements. If adjustments are needed, revisit the print settings or driver configuration until the output matches your expectations.

Post-install maintenance is simple and essential for longevity. Periodically check the paper path for jams, replace the ink ribbon or impact ribbon as needed, and perform a basic head cleaning if you notice faint or uneven printing. Keeping the printer clean, free of dust, and properly stored will extend its life and preserve print quality over years of use. With routine care, the LX-350 remains a dependable workhorse for high-traffic environments that demand consistent, legible prints.

For best results, keep spare ribbons and paper compatible with 9-pin dot matrix printers in your stock. This ensures you can quickly swap components when needed and minimize downtime. If you encounter any driver compatibility issues, consult the user manual or Epson support resources for compatibility notes with your specific operating system and software environment.

A Highly Anticipated Revelation Commentary!
Format: Hardcover
Tom Schreiner is one of my favorite New Testament Bible commentators. Having used his Romans commentary (now in its second edition), as well as his commentaries on 1 Corinthians and 1-2 Peter and Jude, I recommend him highly! I read much of his shorter commentary on Revelation in the ESV Expository Commentary series, and found it to be a wonderful help to get my bearings on this challenging book. This full length Baker commentary I have been anticipating for several years and finally have gotten a copy. While I am not persuaded of his rather novel (and newly held!) view on the Millenium, called New Creation Millenialism, I find his basic approach to the book a wonderful antidote to both the more Dispensational and the more preterist approaches to the book. Schreiner's arguments that Revelation is highly symbolic and recursive (non-linear/recapitulatory) I have found extremely persuasive and greatly affect how one reads the Apocalypse.

Wonderful exegetical commentary
Format: Hardcover
This replaces Grant Osborne's 2002 commetary on Revelation in the Baker series. The introduction is concise. The scholarship is inspring. The treatment of the seven letters to the seven churches is the best I've seen. Schreiner defends a premillenial view called "new creation" millenialism, which sees the thousand year reign of Christ and the saints as both an eschatological "sabbath" and also as the initial age of the New Heaven and Earth (eternity). In my opinion he does surpass Osborne on this subject, though Osborne's commentary remains outstanding in every way. Whatever your leanings on the millennium might be, Schreiner's excursus into that subject before treating Rev. 20 is as good as an excursus gets and worth the price of the book by itself. I found his resolutions of the major issues both compelling and uplifting. Buy it.

Technical in detail, but highly readable.
Format: Hardcover
This is an excellent commentary on Revelation alone or alongside other commentaries. Schreiner interacts with other scholars in the field, summarizing the interpretive options, and constantly reaches a theologically solid conclusion. You won't be disappointed!

Not great, not bad
Format: Hardcover
There are a few sections that are stand-outs. He's a pleasant writer, but over all not much new ground plowed.
