Metal-azolate frameworks(MAF) is a kind of special coordination polymer based on the ligands of imidazole, pyrazole, triazole and other deprotonated azotazolium five-member ring, which is a new type of porous material. MAF-5 (Zn) is a kind of metal polyazole framework with zinc ion as coordination metal and 2-ethylimidazole as organic ligand, which belongs to a class of complex compounds existing in MOF. Maf-5 is a relatively common and easy to prepare metal polyazole frame, but also retains the advantages of MAF, such as high order, low density, large porosity, easy structure regulation, pore surface modification and frame flexibility. The MAF-5(Zn) cavity is ellipsoidal and symmetrical with a theoretical aperture range of 7-15 Å. Although the research on MAF, a particular metal-organic framework, started late, a large number of studies in recent years have made remarkable progress, exploring the potential of this material in energy, environment, catalysis and other fields.
