The leaves taper to sharp points, and the entire plant typically stays under 18 inches (45 cm) tall and wide, making it an excellent choice for small gardens, containers, or xeriscapes. 'Durango Delight' is drought-tolerant, thrives in full sun, and prefers well-draining soil. It’s low-maintenance and cold-hardy to around 15°F (-9°C), making it suitable for a variety of climates. Like other agaves, it is monocarpic—flowering once in its lifetime before dying—but produces offsets that continue the plant's legacy.
