'GNAWA ELECTRIC LAUNE' is the magical collaboration between Moroccan Gnawa-master (maâlem) Rabii Harnoune and Frankfurt electronic producer V. B. Kühl. Recorded at Achim Sauer's 7V-Studio, collectively Rabii Harnoune & V. B. Kühl have produced an LP which represents entirely new territory, building a bridge from old to new, from Africa to Europe, and from to person to person. This melange of traditional North African Gnawa music and modern club sounds results in a fascinating debut, cross-cultural friction which is electric and otherworldly. "Gnawa music was exclusively played by families whose parents came from Sub-Saharan or Central African tribes to Morocco in colonial times" Rabii explains, "it was rare to be able to listen to Gnawa music on radio, so I started to collect rare live recordings". Rabii's mastery at the Guembri, a three-string lute and Gnawa singing (a central aspect to the culture), would lead him to play world-class festivals in Essaouira, Fes, Marrakesh, and Casablanca - all spiritual centres for the genre. V. B. Kühl realised his own musical vision and ambition when he inherited his first ghettoblaster (boombox) and bought a four-track recorder: "rhythm is deep in me, and although music is not my profession, the passion never stopped". Beautiful, functional, easy on hands, push button
Color: Stainless Steel
Update: these are great! I only charged them the day they arrived 3 months ago from Amazon, and have not had to charge them yet. They work efficiently every time my whole family loves using them,,especially the grandkids.
I specifically wanted "push button" , and easy-rechargeable. I have arthritis so it's pretty amazing and wonderful.
These rechargeable grinders are lightweight when they arrive, and easy to fill from the top.
For each grinder, you will need to turn the top opening slightly to the left to release it, and then pull it open.
My 9yo grandson had to show me.
The salt and pepper grindersmake a relatively, low grinding sound, and have a small, shining, light at the bottom where the salt and pepper come out onto the food. The performance is good, the salt and pepper output seems not too much and not too little.
Charging these grinders was extremely easy, and the little charging unit stand is provided with a C charger which you can connect into the back of the charging unit, and a USB connection on the other end for the wall .

Best grinders I have ever used
Color: Stainless Steel
I bought these 6 months ago and they are great. They have stopped charging several times. The problem is the salt gets on the contacts and oxidized the contacts and the unit stops charging. You take sand paper and clean the contacts and they work fine again. I feel if the material on the charging port is made with stainless steel and the contacts on the grinders themselves are larger, I would have given this a 5 star. Even
As it stands, I would purchase these again. I have several bad experiences buying manual grinders that last about a month and break. These are High Quality, but need to upgrade the contacts.

Salt n peppa
Color: Stainless Steel
Not sure why I waited so long to purchase these! They are great, nice sleek design and they make cooking so much easier! They work so well and I literally just hold it over whatever I’m cooking, press a button and fresh pepper and salt are grinding right before my eyes! In the past my shakers have left salt or pepper on the counter but so far these have not, which is a bonus for sure!

Convenient and sleek
Color: Stainless Steel
These are very easy to use with one-hand operation. The adjustable grind settings work well, and the light feature is actually helpful when cooking.
The stainless steel design looks modern on the counter. Grinding power is consistent and strong enough for everyday kitchen use.
Pros:
• Easy to operate
• Adjustable grind size
• Attractive design
Cons:
• Requires batteries
• Slightly taller than manual grinders
A convenient upgrade from manual mills.
