Unique World, Fun Read
Format: Kindle
I love the concept of a world with all the familiar myths in a whole new dynamic, and this is a flawless execution. It’s not an instalove, by any means, but that just makes the journey more fun in this case. Addi is a true baddie, without being annoying or whining. The guys are jerks, so I’m looking forward to some form of character progression. There’s a cliff, but not a desperate one. No sword crossing (so far anyway, and no hints of it), which suits my current mood perfectly, I just finished an m-preg kick and needed a break. The plot is involved without being convoluted, so it’s a fun and entertaining read while still being interesting. All the stars, and can’t wait to read the next book.

ALL Fantasy Characters In One BOOK!
Format: Paperback
4.5 stars Faes, vampires, mages, shifters and wolves ALL in one book, yes please!! Oh my gosh, this book kept me reading and wanting more. The tension between the FMC - Addi and the MMCs - Raiden, Cassian, Kryll and Brody was high, I didn't know if it would be Addi to break or one of the four men. The Kingdom of Floodborn is in ruins. The origins, Fae, Humans, Shifters, Mages, Wolves and Vampires come to Heir Academy to see if they have the will, strength and capability to become the next savior for the kingdom. This is the first book I've read from K.C. Kean and I'm left feeling, WTF!! It was a great read and I couldn't get enough. I will be diving into the second book of this series, I can't wrap what I just finished, I need to know more!

A phenomenal read
Format: Kindle
"The Kingdom of Ruin" by K.C. Kean is a fantasy novel that delves into a world of betrayal, downfall, and the quest for power and restoration. The story revolves around a once prosperous Kingdom that has fallen into ruin due to poisonous schemes and betrayal, leading to a time of lawlessness and disarray. The narrative unfolds sixteen years after the fall of the Kingdom, with The Council determined to find an heir who can unite the land and restore its former glory. This sets the stage for the Heir Academy, a challenging trial designed to identify the Kingdom's savior among the diverse species vying for the throne. The protagonist of the story is driven by a fierce determination to claim the crown and restore the Kingdom to its rightful state. Their ambition and resolve to overcome any obstacle or adversary in their path add a layer of intrigue and suspense to the plot. The themes of power, ambition, and redemption seem central to the storyline, promising a gripping and immersive read for fans of fantasy fiction. The concept of different species converging to compete for the crown adds an element of competition and complexity to the narrative, setting the stage for political intrigue and strategic maneuvering. Overall, "The Kingdom of Ruin" appears to offer a compelling blend of fantasy, betrayal, and the quest for power, making it a promising read for those who enjoy immersive and engaging fantasy worlds.

Amazing!
Format: Kindle
Yeah, this book is definitely the start of something special. I'm really pumped for this new world that K.C. Kean has created. The plot is really intriguing and so are the characters. I became so immersed in this world filled with vampires, mages, fae, shifters, and wolves. The female main character, Addi, is a contender in an academy filled with different supernaturals competing to become the new heir of a kingdom that has fallen apart. She deals with so much push back from most because of who she is and is constantly on the defense. She is such a badass and I loved every one of her mantras to herself. As far as the romance, it's steamy, it's hot, it's a slow burn, yet it's not. Yep, that's how I'm describing it. These men are dark, humorous, and addictive. They definitely have an air of mystery surrounding them and I just want to know more!  I saw part of that cliffhanger coming but it still slapped me in the face. 😆 I live for amazing cliffhangers though and we don't have to wait long until book two because it releases June 28th!!! 🖤

the gasp I guspped 😱
Format: Kindle
This book was so good. I love the world that has been created so far in this story. Addi is a boss and the fact that she is having to hide who she really is from everyone at the academy yet also being able to stand her ground and not be bullied into anything just shows how strong she really is. She doesn’t take anything lying down and even if it makes the target bigger on her she sticks to what she believes is right. Raiden, Brody, Cassian and Kryll all seem to have a pull towards Addi but with them all competing against each other in the hopes to become the next heir they try every way they can think to get her out of their heads and out of their way. I love the push and pull between Addi and the guys. They have this electric chemistry that makes them want to hate each other but fine that they don’t want to pull away from each other. I really can’t stand the girls who are always trying to start stuff with Addi just because the guys show interest and they feel like they have a right to.That also goes for Cassians dad and the dean and her elitist self 🙄 But that ending had me GASPING 😱 like I knew he was a crap person but I didn’t expect that at all. I need the next book ASAP 5/5⭐️’s 2.5/5🌶️’s
