Initially traveling to the Danakil as a teacher Enid was asked to take up the challenge of reducing the Afar language to writing ultimately resulting in the production of two dictionaries. This story is not just about Enid. It is also very much about the many people who helped her in her task: Afars, government officials, Presidents, professors, universities, her home church, members of the Red Sea Mission Team and other mission agencies and her many friends.
