Slide your finger through the ring and feel how this knife locks into your hand.

The Damascus recurve blade curves forward like a talon — sharp from base to tip, ready from the first draw.

This is not a standard knife. This is a karambit style knife built for people who know the difference.

Damascus Karambit Style Knife with Recurve Edge

This karambit recurve knife is forged from 200-layer Damascus steel. We layer 1080 and 15N20 high-carbon steel, fold it by hand, and hammer it into the recurve profile that defines the karambit fighting style.

The blade hardens to 55–58 HRC. That means it holds a working edge through serious use — not just display. The recurve geometry keeps the edge in contact with the target through the entire pull stroke.

The acid-etched finish reveals the Damascus wave pattern along the full curve. Every blade looks different. No two karambit style knives from JW SteelCrafts are identical.

The Finger Ring Hybrid Handle: Built for Control

The hybrid handle on this finger ring knife is shaped for two grip styles. The main grip fills your palm — firm and dense. The finger ring at the base locks your grip so the knife stays in your hand under any condition.

Bare hand or gloved, the handle gives you complete control. It doesn't shift, slide, or rotate unless you want it to.

The hybrid shape blends a traditional karambit ring with a full grip body. You get the retention of a karambit and the comfort of a full handle — in one piece.

Why Full Tang Matters on a Karambit Style Knife

This Damascus karambit knife runs full tang. Steel goes from blade tip through the finger ring — one solid piece, no joints.

That matters because karambit techniques use pulling and hooking force. A partial tang would fail under that stress. Full tang takes it without flexing.

The balance point sits mid-handle. The recurve blade pulls slightly forward. That weight distribution is intentional — it drives the hook stroke without extra effort from your wrist.

Carry Your Karambit Recurve Knife Safely

This karambit style knife ships with a leather sheath. The fit is firm and snug — blade and ring both seat fully.

The leather is thick and hand-stitched. It protects the recurve edge from contact damage during carry or storage.

Draw is clean and one-handed. The knife comes out ready.

Who Uses a Karambit Fighting Style Knife

Collectors buy this Damascus karambit style knife for its visual impact and historical design roots. Martial artists and blade enthusiasts buy it for the karambit fighting style grip and recurve geometry.

Outdoorsmen use it as a utility blade — the recurve edge hooks through cordage, strips bark, and cuts with a pulling motion that a straight blade can't match.

A machine-made karambit is stamped into shape. This one is hand-forged — the recurve profile is set by a craftsman who grinds and fits the edge by hand.

The JW SteelCrafts Difference

Every Damascus karambit knife we make is hand-forged. The Damascus pattern on your blade belongs to your knife only.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Blade collectors who want a Damascus karambit knife with real craftsmanship — not a factory copy

Martial arts enthusiasts who train in karambit fighting style and want a display or trainer-grade piece

Outdoorsmen who want a finger ring knife that locks into the hand during field work and utility tasks

Gift buyers who want something bold, handmade, and unlike anything sold in a regular knife store

HOW TO USE Your Karambit Style Knife

Slide your ring finger through the finger ring first — this locks the knife in your grip before you close your hand around the handle.

For a forward grip, edge faces down and the recurve curves toward you. For a reverse grip, flip the blade back — edge faces up, ring at the bottom.

Use pulling strokes, not pushing ones. The karambit recurve knife is designed to draw the edge across the target — not stab through it.

For utility tasks like cutting cordage or stripping material, hook the recurve over the line and pull back. The curved edge does the work.

Practice your grip rotation with the knife unsheathed slowly — the ring gives you rotation control that no straight handle can match.

HOW TO CARE FOR Your Damascus Karambit Knife

After every use:

  • Hand-wash with warm water and mild soap
  • Dry immediately with a clean cloth — never air dry
  • Never put this karambit style knife in the dishwasher

Every few weeks:

  • Apply a thin coat of food-safe mineral oil to the Damascus blade
  • Work the oil into the recurve curve — that area traps moisture fastest
  • Wipe off excess with a dry cloth

Storage:

  • Keep the finger ring knife in its leather sheath
  • Store in a dry place — humidity causes rust on Damascus steel faster than anything else

Sharpening your karambit recurve knife:

  • Use a curved sharpening rod or tapered ceramic rod — flat stones won't reach the recurve belly
  • Work from base to tip in smooth strokes, following the curve
  • Maintain the original bevel angle — roughly 15–20 degrees on Damascus karambit blades
  • Strop on leather after sharpening to align the edge

Tip: The recurve section needs more attention than a straight edge. Check it first every time you sharpen.

FAQs About This Karambit Style Knife

Q: What steel is this Damascus karambit knife made from?

This karambit style knife is hand-forged from 200-layer Damascus steel — a combination of 1080 and 15N20 high-carbon steel. It's hardened to 55–58 HRC. The layered Damascus steel gives the recurve blade superior edge retention and a flowing pattern that's unique to every knife.

Q: Is this karambit style knife good for collectors and martial arts enthusiasts?

Yes. The Damascus karambit knife is built for both display and real use. The recurve blade and finger ring handle reflect the authentic karambit fighting style design. Collectors value the Damascus pattern. Martial artists and blade enthusiasts value the grip geometry and recurve edge performance.

Q: Does this finger ring knife come with a sheath?

Yes. This Damascus karambit style knife ships with a hand-stitched leather sheath. It fits both the blade and the finger ring securely. The leather protects the recurve edge during storage and carry. Draw is clean and one-handed.

Q: Is a karambit style knife legal to own in the USA?

Fixed-blade karambit knives are legal to own in most US states. Carry laws vary by state and city — some restrict concealed fixed blades. We ship from Texas with no restrictions on ownership. Check your local laws before carrying this knife outside your home.

Q: How do I sharpen a karambit recurve knife?

Use a tapered ceramic rod or curved sharpening rod — flat whetstones can't reach the recurve belly properly. Work from blade base to tip, following the curve in smooth strokes. Hold the blade at 15–20 degrees. Strop on leather after each session to realign the Damascus edge.

Q: Can I customize this Damascus karambit style knife?

Yes. JW SteelCrafts takes custom orders. You can choose your handle material — resin, rosewood, bone, stag, pakka wood, or olive wood. Contact us before ordering to discuss your options.

Q: How long will this karambit style knife last?

With proper care — hand-washing, drying immediately, and monthly oiling — this Damascus karambit knife lasts decades. Full tang construction means no weak joint to fail under hooking or pulling force.

Q: Is this a good gift for a knife enthusiast?

Yes — especially for someone who collects Damascus blades or trains in karambit fighting style. It's handmade, so the Damascus pattern is one of a kind.

Is super soft and works for elderly
Size: 2' x 3' (Natural shape, Sheepksin, Oblong), Color: Ivory White
My mom has been ill and confined to her recliner for sleeping. She developed pressure sores and was in a great deal of pain. We needed to treat the sores and I researched how to prevent in first place and found that genuine sheepskin helps. I had no idea this was a thing. I ordered this for her recliner and a seat one for the car. She loves this. She said she could feel an immediate difference in sitting for so long that she didn't need to shift constantly. I don't understand the mechanics behind why this works but I'm grateful for something natural and affordable like this to offer such relief.

The white one seems softer than the cream one!? Seems like great value for your money for a single pelt, the seller and product didn’t seem sketchy at all.

POLYESTER?!?!
Color: Ivory, Size: 2' x 3' (Pelt), Color: Ivory, Size: 2' x 3' (Pelt)
POLYESTER?!?! So i just bought several of these. Nice and big and fluffy, looked very clean, very nice. Cats instantly were scared/curious. The back of the skin, the wool, all looked nice, and then I noticed it had a tag on it... The tag says... 100% POLYESTER! What?!?!? This is supposed to be New Zealand Sheep Skin pelt! Shouldnt be any Polyester at all. So, just before I was about to return it, i did a small burn test. I cut off a small bunch of hair and burned it. The fire tried to light but it quickly extinguished itself. And the smell... yes... the smell told me it is REAL WOOL and the fact the fire went out right away also confirms this is not oil based. THIS IS REAL, This is NOT Polyester. I guess also a lot of ppl are returning because of the tag, so these are at a HUGE DISCOUNT!!! BUY THEM UP!!! They also came in vacuum packed bags, looked nice and kept very nice. These are excellent! See my photos, the tag, the burned bunch of hair... fire went out, i tried it three times, fire kept instantly going out... smells organic like animal hair when burned, not like oil/polyester. ENJOY!!! I PAID FOR THESE, I was not given anything here!
