A brand-new 50th Anniversary Collector’s Edition compiling the Black and Blue (1976) session recordings by The Rolling Stones is now out from the GOLDPLATE label!

This new release completely revamps the content of the previous Jeff Beck Memorial Edition, presenting two concept discs — “ALTERNATES”, featuring alternate and rough mixes of all album tracks, and “UNRELEASED”, collecting officially unreleased and non-album material.

Drawing from a variety of different source tapes that had previously varied in sound quality, this edition carefully selects the best material and employs AI-assisted audio restoration to rebalance vocals and backing tracks, enhance stereo separation, and remove noise. The result is a newly upgraded “New Masters” collection that includes first-time-on-CD versions of several original edits.

As extra tracks, it also features the Eric Clapton collaboration version of “Carnival to Rio” and Alexis Korner’s recording of “Get Off of My Cloud.”
