Now Garmin not only watches for oncoming vehicles, it records them. The latest addition to the Varia line gets the addition of a camera. By pairing a video footage with the same rear facing radar that has been keeping riders safe for years, the RCT715 is like eyes in the back of your helmet. Much like a dashcam, the RCT715 can detect if an incident has occurred. Video is saved before, during and after the incident, even if you have the camera recording turned off. Each video is stamped with the date, time, location, and speed of the incident, giving you a little video evidence, just in case. Through the connection to your Edge or phone, the Varia radar adds an approaching car display on the screen. Great for long rides on quiet roads where you might need the RCT715 to snap you back to the reality of an approaching vehicle. The powerful LED makes sure that drivers are aware of you. When riding busy streets, the radar will tell you what you already know – you’re surrounded by cars, but you can still use it as a standalone bike light. Complete control is at your fingertips with the free phone app, or you compatible bike computer.

- Colour coded approaching vehicle display, green shows you're in the clear, yellow indicates a car at a normal speed, red when a car is approaching quickly
- Display minimizes when no cars are around, for a full screen view of your Edge unit. Display pops out to show approaching vehicle until it passes
- Audible alerts are also an option, where the beeps increase in frequency as the car approaches
- 140m range lets you see cars long before you can hear them
- Tracks multiple vehicles at a time, up to 6 – each represented by a white dot on the display
- 4 lighting modes: steady 20 lumens (4h), peloton 8 lumens (5h), night flash 29 lumens (4h), and day flash 65 lumens (6h) – with 1080p recording
- Peloton mode dims your light when riding in a pack
- Up to 65 lumens and a 220° viewing angle
- USB-C charging lets you top-up your taillight nearly anywhere
- LED charging indicator lets you know how your light’s battery is doing, both charging and discharging
- IPX7 waterproofing protects your RCT715 from even the heaviest downpours

Packaging is a mess and product requires force to put parts together
Color: Black
Packaging is awful, makes a complete mess. The product itself is okay, the little rods that come with it don't slide in easily and force you to scrape the metal with them when you install it , not the greatest design. Instructions also are not the best. Also, why are the holes to hang the shelf at the bottom?? Doesn't make much sense
