Strolling through Barcelona in the 1960s, designer Miguel Milá found an abandoned opal globe in front of a glass factory. He picked it up, and over the years, it became the heart of this large family. As its name suggests, Cesta (Spanish for basket), was designed to hold this fragile piece.
This lamp can be picked up and easily carried, ideal for both tabletops and floors. The Cesta Metálica is the updated version of the Cesta, with its own distinct features. It comes with or without a smooth leather handle. The lantern is produced manually by European craftsmen, using traditional glass-blowing techniques
