Rather, The OR Chronicles is just that: a chronicle, all true, of the sometimes humorous, sometimes bizarre events witnessed firsthand by author Greg Skibo during his career as a medical materials manager occurrences that the uninitiated or those outside the medical profession may find shocking. Though some names are omitted to protect the innocent or otherwise and some characters represent composites of multiple persons with eerily similar erratic behaviors and personality quirks, Skibo is hilariously scathing in his depictions of former coworkers, supervisors, and colleagues. A funny, often dark, sometimes graphic account of the day-to-day inner workings of surgical institutions, Skibo's story will be instantly recognizable to those who have worked in surgery services in any capacity, while offering outsiders a unique glimpse into the true goings-on behind the scenes and in the OR itself.

About the Author

Greg Skibo has over twenty-five years of experience in industrial purchasing and procurement and supply chain management, ten of which were spent in the medical field. Currently a self-employed writer and a columnist for the San Diego Examiner, Skibo lives in Escondido, California, with his wife, Mary. A cat lover who volunteers for the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary, Skibo also enjoys cooking and repairing old motorcycles.
