This is a 2022 updated revision of the popular smoke stack cover for the recteq (formerly Rec Tec) RT-680, RT-700, RT-1100, RT-1250, Flagship 1100, DualFire 1200, Flagship XL 1400 and more designed to keep rodents (mice, rats, etc) out of the barrel while the grill is not in use. Mice can get through openings the size of your pinky finger, so full coverage is needed for your grill.
**New for 2022** The smoke stack cover is now a single piece with a lever/rotating inner part (see video) so it'll take seconds to close your smoke stack up! Quick/easy on/off with the updated design. I'll continue to sell the old revision for a few dollars cheaper since it's less time/materials/labor for me to assemble. I don't anticipate there to be any difference in rodent prevention between the new and old design since they're identical in coverage. I made this for myself with the time savings/single hand operation in mind.
Note 1: The RT-2500 BFG requires (2) of these to close off both of the smoke stacks.
Note 2: This item is made of plastic and must NOT be left on during cooks or when the grill is still warm. It *will* melt under any amount of heat.
