Fleur Cowles' inventive and influential Flair magazine was sadly short-lived. Only twelve issues were released and this Annual was published by Cowles a year after its closure. The Annual's aim was to continue the artistic creativity of the magazine but to create something more permanent, 'bound between enduring boards'. The volume is divided into sections, listed as 'Flair for… Communication, Sentiment, Travel, Americana, Art and Winter'. Subjects include 'Insulting Valentines', 'The Artist's Wife', 'The Decline of the English Country House', 'Walker Evans at Santa Monica', 'They Said it with Fireworks', 'A Degas Sketchbook' and 'Rudolf Bing and the Met'. The book was designed by Federico Pallavicini. Cowles writes in her editor's note that 'It will be a source of tremendous pride to me to see the FLAIR Annual so well received and welcomed that I may make it a yearly publishing effort. Sadly, this was not to be, making this Annual and the twelve magazine issues the sole Flair output.

Fleur Cowles. Cowles Magazines. [New York]. 1952. Sole impression. Hardback, quarto; red cloth-bound boards with gilt and white decoration and titles, with rectangle cut-out to front board. 230 pages. Great chew toy for dogs
Color: Yellow Nylon Swiss Cheese Wedge
Very suitable toy for dogs it’s too resistant. The material is good and very safe. The size is perfect for a larger dog. They love to chew on it.

WARNING - EXTREMELY SHARP AREAS
Color: Yellow Nylon Corn on the Cob, Color: Yellow Nylon Corn on the Cob
UPDATE: The 2nd one I ordered was exactly the same with the sharp parts in the same areas as the first one. I cannot stress enough that a few points are sharp enough to cut or badly scratch. So if you’re planning on putting some food on it so your pup can lick, this is not the product you want! This could still scratch or cut the gums if used as a chew toy too though. I was thinking about sanding the sharp points but then I have no idea if that exposes any chemicals somehow? Really wanted this to work out! I took this corn on the cob toy out of the plastic to wash it and before I even got to the sink I realized there were several areas that are super sharp. A few sharp enough that could cut or badly scratch! It was sealed in a plastic bag and shows no signs of being used so this defect must happen at the manufactures level. I added a video showing how easily it snags a cotton ball, cotton pad and even a beanie. Please thoroughly check your item before giving it to your pup! I was so excited to put some smashed banana on this thing and give it to my guy and thank god I checked it first! I’m going to return it and see if a 2nd one is any better and I’ll update if it is or isn’t. Also, the super sharp spots were very hard to photograph which is why I added the video.

Nice toy
Color: Red Nylon Yellow Hotdog
It is cool, tough and hard. Just wish it was larger bc my dog is 80 pounds. It won’t fall apart in a day and made in the USA!

good purchase
Color: Red Nylon Yellow Hotdog
This thing is great for hi anxiety dogs and dogs that ned to have something to do or to chew. It will take them a while to get through to it. I was told that it was indestructible but I knew if there was a dog that could do it, it would be mine, and she did. But it took her some time. But she loves it and it keeps her busy.

Cute and durable!
Color: Red, Color: Red
My dog absolutely loves this toy! I'm not sure why people are complaining it's too hard, it's a nylon dog chew toy, it's supposed to be hard. I love the little holes in the lattice top I can stuff with treats. It keeps my very (VERY) active dog busy for a long time. I would definitely recommend this if you have a power chewer. It's also super cute, I just love to see him tote around a piece of pie.
