When he was forty-one years old, fortune reversed itself. Two major illnesses--chronic, progressive Multiple Sclerosis and lymphoma--challenged John with previously unimagined obstacles. He faced his perplexing trials with trusting in his lifelong faith, a positive outlook, and the steadfast love of his courageous wife and family.
