V rokoch 1985 a 1986 prichádza návrhár Peter Moore s ikonou - Air Jordan 1. Model si získal úspešnosť, čomu napovedá široký výber farebných prevedení, ale taktiež aj ďalšie rôzne spracovania modelu. Následujúc úspešné vydania v 80. rokoch, Air Jordan 1 ohlasuje Retro éru v 1994, so správou o Jordanovom odchode od basketbalu. Tenisky sa vracajú opäť v 2001, na trh prichádzajú aj v Mid-top verzii s Jumpman logom. Až v roku 2008 sa Jordan Brand vrátil k Air Jordan 1 s ich pôvodným vysokým strihom.
