Prosciutto di Parma is Italy’s most famous dry-cured ham, crafted under strict Protected Designation of Origin (D.O.P.) regulations to ensure authenticity and quality. Each ham is produced exclusively in the hills around Parma, Italy, following traditional methods passed down for centuries.

Prosciutto di Parma is made from select Italian pigs (Large White, Landrace, and Duroc breeds), raised on approved farms in Northern and Central Italy. Their diet includes cereals and whey from Parmigiano Reggiano production, contributing to the ham’s unique flavor.

Only four natural ingredients are used:

  • Pork leg

  • Sea salt

  • Air

  • Time

The process includes slow salting, washing, and air-drying for over 16 months in the clean mountain breezes of Parma. The result is a tender, fragrant ham with a delicate sweetness and melt-in-the-mouth texture.
