Nordenau ist ein schmuckes Fachwerkdorf im Hochsauerland und wurde 1513 gegründet. Der Ort liegt in den Hochlagen des Rothaargebirges. Alte Fachwerkhäuser prägen das Ortsbild und gehören, zusammen mit der Burgruine Rappelstein und der St. Hubertus Kirche, zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten im Ort.
