Die Geschichte von Pilatus als Hersteller neuer Flugzeugtypen begann in den 40er-Jahren mit dem SB-2 Pelikan. Nachhaltigen Erfolg erzielte Pilatus dann aber mit dem in unserem Katalog weiter vorne vorgestellten Flugzeugtypen P-2 der in der damaligen Schweizer Flugwaffe zum Einsatz kam.

Der wirkliche Durchbruch gelang 1959 mit dem Pilatus Porter PC-6. Dieses Mehrzweckflugzeug bestach durch seine ausserordentliche Robustheit und seine STOL-Eigenschaften (Short Take Off & Landing), seine Fähigkeit auf ganz kurzen Pisten zu starten und zu landen. Rasch wuchs der Absatz auf dem internationalen Flugzeugmarkt – die Nachfrage nach dem PC-6 hält bis zum heutigen Tag an.

Some pros: * There's a blue light to show that power is coming to the adapter (great to ensure you've plugged it in correctly) * The gap at the bottom of the plug ensures that it works with a phone in a case. (I tested it on an iPhone 15 pro max) * The connectors are solid good click when connected. * The housing is solid aluminum (no flex or seams, etc) * There is a little label on each that shows how much power or data can go through it. Use case: * Allowing you to use your phone on your bed while the phone is sitting on your chest (and still plugged in) * For the USB-C to female USB-A female adapter, the page shows that you can use this to connect a flash drive or a regular USB-A cable with the other end going to your peripheral (like a keyboard or game controller) Overall, this is a great item to own in your gadget bag.
