Nase:
Dieser reinsortige Graciano umschmeichelt die Nase mit reifen Noten von Maulbeeren, Brombeeren, Feigen und Holunderbeeren, in die sich ein Hauch von dunklem Tabak, von Wacholder und Maccia mischt. Der Wein ist sinnlich, saftig, samtig und scheint doch eine kühle Ader zu besitzen, die sich in einer Note von Minze und zerstoßenem Stein zeigt.

Gaumen:
Eva Fernández und Luis Ruiz Viñaspre haben genau den richtigen Lesezeitpunkt gefunden. Der Wein wirkt großzügig in der sinnlich reifen dunklen und fleischigen Frucht, birgt aber gleichzeitig eine lebendige Säure und ein Tannin, das Standfestigkeit und Grip bietet. So verbindet sich das Sinnlich-Saftige mit Biss, Kräuterwürze, Noten von steiniger Mineralik und Energie bis in ein angenehm langes, intensives Finale.

Informationen zum Wein:
Der Txabola ist ein reinsortiger Graciano. Die Frucht stammt aus Elvillar in der Rioja Alavesa. Der Weinberg Los Lanos liegt auf 525 Metern. Es ist eine Hanglage mit Lehmböden, die Korallenkalk enthalten und über eine geringe Wasserrückhaltekapazität verfügen. Die 15 Jahre alten Reben stehen in Spalier-Erziehung. Nach der Handlese und der Sortierung wurden die Trauben entrappt und bei maximal 25 °C spontan über 18 Tage hinweg vergoren. Der Ausbau erfolgte über 16 Monate im zweitbelegten französischen Barrique.
